Drivers - 7.5 Tonne

Crawley Warehouse

The Role:
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and flexible 7.5T Drivers for our Crawley Warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
• Vehicle safety, maintenance and cleanliness
• Daily route planning and control of delivery documentation
• Safe loading and unloading of furniture to customer properties and warehouses
• Communication with customers, stores and warehouses
• Some furniture assembly in customer properties
• Collection of returns and recycled furniture
• Plan and drive to predetermined appointments with due care and attention
• Liaise with customers to confirm delivery times
• Ensure furniture is unwrapped and checked for any damage prior to leaving the customer’s properties
• Maintain vehicle to the legal requirements and as outlined in the Driver’s handbook
• Adhere to health and safety rules and regulations
• Other reasonable duties within the job holder’s capabilities

This role will involve heavy lifting.



Knowledge and Experience:
• A Class C1/C license, digital tachograph card
• CPC qualified
• You must be self-motivated and hardworking
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience of multi-drop deliveries within the furniture industry would be advantageous
• A flexible approach to working hours including being able to work overtime
• Able to work on your own initiative and as a member of a team
